Refund and Cancellation Policy

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for products and services purchased from LexMigrate through lexmigrate.co.za.

1. Digital products and screening tools

Digital products, including the British Nationality Results Checker, are supplied electronically and may be generated or made available shortly after successful payment.

Once a digital result has been generated, accessed, downloaded or otherwise supplied, the purchase is generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where LexMigrate confirms that:

  • the customer was charged more than once for the same transaction;
  • payment was successful but the digital product could not be supplied because of a technical failure attributable to LexMigrate; or
  • a refund is otherwise appropriate after review of the circumstances.

If you believe a digital product has not been supplied correctly, contact LexMigrate as soon as possible so that the transaction can be investigated.

2. Professional services

Professional immigration, nationality, citizenship, passport and related services are provided under a separate written scope of work, quotation, engagement or mandate. Any refund relating to professional fees will be assessed with reference to the work already performed, the agreed scope and applicable law.

If a client cancels before substantive work has started, LexMigrate may refund professional fees paid for work not yet performed, less any non-refundable third-party charges or amounts properly due for work already completed. Where work has already commenced, any refund will be calculated on a fair basis according to the work performed and the applicable written terms.

3. Government and third-party fees

Government application fees, biometric fees, courier charges, translation costs and other third-party fees are not controlled by LexMigrate and are subject to the refund rules of the relevant authority or provider. LexMigrate cannot guarantee the refund of third-party charges.

4. Duplicate or incorrect payments

If you believe you were charged twice or an incorrect amount was processed, please contact us with the payment date, amount and transaction reference. Do not send full card details, passwords or banking credentials by email.

5. Refund method and timing

Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned using the original payment method where reasonably possible. Processing times may depend on PayFast, the relevant bank or card issuer and are therefore not entirely within LexMigrate’s control.

6. How to request a refund or cancellation

Send your request to attorney@lexmigrate.co.za and include your full name, the product or service purchased, the payment date, the amount paid, the transaction reference if available, and a short explanation of the request.

You may also contact LexMigrate on +27 (0)64 520 3948.

7. Consumer rights

Nothing in this policy removes or limits any mandatory rights that you may have under applicable South African consumer-protection law.

This Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of the LexMigrate Terms and Conditions.
